L for Love ♥ L for Lies 我的最愛 (Movie)

Brief Plot:

Everything was going well for Ah Bo (Stephy Tang) until recently. After graduating from college, Ah Bo decided to open a shop with her long-time boyfriend, Ah Jun (Stephen Wong), thinking that she would eventually marry Jun when everything has been set up and running smoothly.

One day, Bao met her old classmate Kei Kei (Alice Tzeng). Kei Kei, being smitten by Ah Jun; decided to steal Ah Jun for her own, not caring about Ah Bo's feelings. It turned out that not only Bo has lost her love of a lifetime, she also loses her shop. She seeks for revenge and asks Ah Keung (Alex Fong) to help her...

What we thought of it:

I really like this movie and it kept me entertained throughout the whole time. Everyone's acting was very good and I really did feel sorry for Stephy's character, Ah Bo. The sad ending also made my eyes a bit watery. Great work on this movie!

E.U - 學警狙擊

Brief Plot:

After ten years behind the bars in Taiwan, Kong Sai-Hao (Michael Miu) finally returns to Hong Kong. Besides hoping to find his daughter Yau-Yau (Elanne Kong) to mend their relationship, he also plans for revenge. On one hand, he pretends to surrender to triad boss To Yik-Tin (Lam Lee), the man who caused him to be jailed. On the other hand, he tries to gain trust from police officers Chung Lap-Man (Ron Ng) and Lee Pak-Kiu (Sammul Chan). Pak-Kiu refuses to have a criminal as his friend, but Lap-Man becomes an undercover police in Sai-Hao's gang. Along with Sai-Hao, they overrule Yik-Tin and take over the mafia, and the two develop a misconcepted mentor-student relationship. Unfortunately, Lap-Man gets fired from the police force before he can finish his mission in the mafia. He becomes Sai-Hao's people and turns his back against the police force....

What we thought of it:

This one was better than On The First Beat. I actaully enjoyed watching this drama. It was good. I think it was nearly as good The Academy. I reccomend it to people who like crime and police dramas.

On The First Beat - 學警出更 (Academy II)

Brief Plot:

Chung Lap-Man and Lee Pak-Kiu patrolling the streets of Hong Kong with fellow senior constables. During one patrolling shift, Pak Kiu messes with the wrong group of gangs, Cheng Chi-Keung and Cheung King-Fung.

After realizing that Pak-Kiu was manipulated by Chi-Keung, Fiona Ma Oi-Lam tries to clear Pak-Kiu's name from the complaint by Chi Keung. Fiona and Lap-Man finds Chi-Keung and King-Fung dealing drugs in a parking lot and tries to photograph their drugs-transaction. Fiona accidentally sets off a car alarm and is discovered by Chi-Keung and King-Fung, holding her hostage. Pak-Kiu tries to rescue Fiona, instead he gets shot in the side of his head by Chi-Keung and subsequently Chi-Keung shoots Fiona in the stomach, consiquently she dies. Pak Kiu then wakes up in the hospital and finds out that Fiona is dead and blames it all on Lap-Man. Throughout the whole series, conflict and extreme hatred for each other is constantly shown between them.

What we thought of it:

In our opinion, this wasn't as good as The Academy and I didn't like the idea of changing the characters. It also kinda got a bit boring. But some episodes were pretty good.

The Academy - 學警雄心

Breif Plot: The series follows the lives of a group of new Hong Kong Police recruits as they proceed through training at the Hong Kong Police training school (PTS). Within these 27 weeks, each of them learned their lessons, each of them become more mature, each of them become a better person as the relationship between the students and the teachers grows stronger and stronger.

What we thought:

Angela and I still remembered watching this back in 2005 and how we loved it so much! Overall it is a good Hong Kong drama and we do reccomend you guys to watch it.

Boys Over Flower - F4

Brief Plot: Jan Di is an average girl whose family owns a dry cleaning store located near the luxurious and well known Shin Hwa College. Jan Di meets the four richest and most spoiled boys known as the F4. After saving a boy from jumping off the roof of Shinhwa High School, she is admitted into the school on a swimming scholarship. Jan Di tries to avoid confrontation with the F4 at all cost because she knows what happens to those that stand against them. However, when Jan Di's friend, Oh Min Ji, accidentally gets ice cream on the leader of the F4's shoes, she's forced to declare war on the leader of the F4, Goo Joon Pyo.

What we thought about it:

The Korean drama is very entertaining. Goo Joon Pyo definitely made our hearts melt with his romantic way of trying to get the girl he loves. The drama is also very funny. We love this drama!
We definitely recommended this drama to everyone.
